Hilton Addis Ababa Hotel, Addis Ababa

The hotel may have some charming aspects like courteous service and a pleasant location, but sadly, the rooms were a letdown with outdated decor and cleanliness concerns. Despite the inviting exterior, the dining area left much to be desired with a lack of cleanliness and limited service.

The hotel has been renovated in hues of black, grey, and yellow with very Bauhaus furniture, but my room had an unpleasant musky/smoky smell to it. Despite that, the service was extremely friendly and helpful in an aging yet beautiful facility. The location is good, close to touristic and working areas, but the multiple TVs in the room made it unrelaxing for me. The dining experience was not pleasant with a small, smelly room and dirty old furniture. However, the facility has well-manicured grounds and various amenities to enjoy.

The hotel offers a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but some issues like broken air condition control and lousy lighting can impact the experience. The service is helpful from the staff but may have room for improvement. The location is beautiful, with a green and spacious ambiance, yet there might be some noise concerns. The dining options are limited, with a need for improvement in cleanliness. Overall, a decent stay with room for enhancement.

The hotel is located in the most premium area of the city, which is safe and secure. The rooms are quite small and have no air conditioning, only a wall-mounted heater, but the service by the staff is extremely courteous and helpful. The dining options seem diverse, while the hotel is undergoing a face-lift, which I look forward to seeing on my next visit.

My stay at the hotel was a mix of comfort and disappointment. The rooms kept me fully comforted and the breakfast was great, but they were in such poor condition that it was uncomfortable, even for a 3rd world hotel.
